During the nationwide lockdown, I watched the usually bustling streets of Sarojini fall completely silent. Shops remained closed for months, and thousands of vendors who depended on the market for their livelihood were struggling.

Even when the market reopened, customers were slow to return. Seeing the people I had grown up around struggle made it personal.

That’s when a simple thought came to me:

If people couldn’t come to Sarojini, why not take Sarojini to them?

And that’s how Sarojini Market Online was born.

We started handpicking products from local vendors and bringing them online for shoppers across India. What began as a small idea soon grew with the incredible love we received from our online community.
